Mobile Food Pantry

Also known as a Food Truck, the Mobile Food Pantry provides additional food resources to anyone who has need. We offer a mobile pantry 8 times throughout the year during the months that we don’t have a commodities distribution.

Peace Lutheran is an equal opportunity provider and does not discriminate.

The Mobile Food pantry is an excellent way to supplement your food needs. Expect to receive mostly fresh produce. Occasionally a protein such as cheese or milk is available. Depending upon how many households show up, expect to receive between 25 and 50 pounds of food. Food for the Mobile pantry is purchased by Peace from Feeding America.

Procedure

We are currently doing a contactless, drive-thru distribution.

  • Enter the back parking lot via Spartan Dr, on the west side of the church building.
  • Check in with the greeter and receive a number for each household for whom you are picking up.
  • Wait in your car and follow the car in front of you.
  • Inform the volunteer where you would like the food placed (back seat, trunk, truck bed, etc)

Please note

  • You may pick up for other households, but may be limited on the number depended upon how many have shown up. Our goal is to provide food to everyone who comes and so may not be able to accommodate households who do not.
  • We are unable to guarantee food will be available. We try to ensure that everyone will receive something, but sometimes run out toward the end.
  • Please do not line up more than two hours in advance of the distribution.
