Jeffrey Roland
Originally from Lyons,
Michigan, Jeffrey attended college in Tennessee
until he moved to Grand Rapids
in 1988. In 1989 he took a position
with St Peter’s Lutheran Church in
Rockford, as choir accompanist, later becoming their
organist. Since then he has served
as organist at St Mark Lutheran Church in Kentwood
and Park Congregational Church – UCC in downtown
Grand Rapids.
With a bachelor’s degree in organ performance, Jeffrey also teaches piano
and organ to a healthy number of students from Rockford,
Sparta
and Kentwood.
He and choir director Deborah Holtz founded the West Michigan
Lutheran Chorale which keeps them busy with rehearsals and ongoing duties
and performances.
Deborah Holtz

Born and raised on the southeast side in Kentwood,
Deborah attended Concordia University and the University of Wisconsin
majoring in music education with a K-12 choral emphasis, a tremendous asset to
various choirs over the years. As a
team, Deborah and Jeffrey Roland established the West Michigan Lutheran Chorale
which has travelled to various concert sites, including mission tours to Europe.
Travel is a favorite pastime for Deborah, preferably in
Europe.
Italy
is the favorite, but she has also enjoyed Germany,
Czech Republic,
Poland, Hungary, Slovakia,
and Austria.
Deborah and Jeffrey make an unbeatable team for the music ministry at
Peace, inviting all voices to come share the spirit of Choir at practices
Wednesday evenings.
