Want to help our congregation?
Want to make a difference in the world?
Want to proclaim your faith in simple ways?
There are variety of ways you can help us and around the world. Read on to find simple ways that you can make a difference.
Help our congregation:
- Save your returnable pop cans. By donating your empty returnables, you'll be helpping the youth group and saving you the time and mess of returning them yourself. Drop them off at the back entrance in the large blue barrel.
- Use GoodSearch. An internet search engine powered by Yahoo!, every time you search our youth group earns a penny. Learn more
- Participate in a committee/group. Each 3rd Sunday evening is common meeting night. Meetings are at 5:00 PM and a light supper is provided at 6:30. Pick one committee or do the rounds and participate in each - it's your choice. You don't have to be an official member of a committee to join in! It's fun and you don't have to cook supper! Child-care is provided.
Help our community:
- Donate food to our food pantry. Every week our food pantry provides needed help to families in our community who are without food. You can drop donations off at the church any time. Check the our website for a weekly list of items we need that are on sale at the local groceries.
- Help the Christian Service Committee. Throughout the year our Christian Service committee plans service events that help people in our community and beyond. Keep an eye on the website to see the latest news and join in.
- Donate Blood. Every 8 weeks the Michigan Blood Bank is at Peace. By donating your blood you can help save lives in our community and state. Check the calendar for the next blood drive.
Help our world:
- Buy Fair Trade. At Peace, we serve and offer a selection of Fair-Trade coffee from Equal Exchage. Fair-Trade helps farmers and communites in developping nations earn a fair wage and provide for their familes. You can pick up a package in the Narthex. Learn more
- Support Lutheran World Service. Lutheran World service responds around the world to needs and disasters.
