Peace Lutheran Church

A critical part of our faith is living out what we believe.  God calls us to love one another.  Our Christian service team is continually looking for opportunities to empower people to live out their faith by caring for others.

Food Pantry Needs

Our Food Pantry is always in need of donations to share with the needy in our community. We welcome all donations. They can be brought to the church most days and dropped off. Please call before coming to make sure that there is someone to receive your donation. A receipt for donations can be provided if desired for tax purposes.
Further questions about the food pantry can be directed to our Pantry Coordinator or the church office.
For suggestions on what to bring and items we need that are on sale currently at local grocers, read on.

Food Pantry

The Food Pantry at Peace assists local residents by providing food and other items to low income families. Open each weekday by appointment, the food pantry assists on average 4 families a day. We are a part of the North Kent Service Center which enables us to work in cooperation with other area food pantries.
Those needing food need to register and schedule an appointment by going to the Family Independence Agency at 536 S. State Street in Sparta.

Peace Lutheran has been a mission partner of the Sudanese Christ Lutheran Church.  We keep them in our prayers, support them financially, and partner in ministry.  Our annual support helps them continue in ministry.

Fair Trade - A Cup of Justice

Lutheran World Relief Coffee ProjectFair trade is the concept of providing a fair price for goods. It supports small farmers and co-ops in developing countries by offering resources for community development and environmental care. Through the development of fair trade co-op, farmers who once were only able to be workers on large plantations now own their own land, investing in their communities and raising the standard of living in entire villages.
