Originally from Lyons, Michigan, Jeffrey attended college in Tennessee until he moved to Grand Rapids in 1988. In 1989 he took a position with St Peter’s Lutheran Church in Rockford, as choir accompanist, later becoming their organist. Since then he has served as organist at St Mark Lutheran Church in Kentwood and Park Congregational Church – UCC in downtown Grand Rapids. With a bachelor’s degree in organ performance, Jeffrey also teaches piano and organ to a healthy number of students from Rockford, Sparta and Kentwood. He and choir director Deborah Holtz founded the West Michigan Lutheran Chorale which keeps them busy with rehearsals and ongoing duties and performances.
