GoodSearch is a Internet search engine that allow you to raise funds for our youth group by doing something you do every day - search the web. Here's how it works:
- visit GoodSearch.com to search the web or set GoodSearch.com as the default on your browser.
- Type in Peace Lutheran Church Sparta as the charity you want to support (you should only have to do this once)
- enter your search query
- You'll find the information you want and you just earned a cent for our youth group
- If you link through GoodSearch.com to shop online, you're online purchase will earn even more for our youth group.
GoodSearch uses the search engine at Yahoo! so the results are complete and accurate. It may not sound like much, but if everyone in our congregation used it and made an average of two searches per day, we would raise over $1000 for our congregation in a year. That's not even counting any online purchases that could result in even more!
Through the Funding Factory, we provide recycling of printer ink cartridges, small electronics, cell phones, and batteries. Items you no longer use can be brought to the church and deposited in the appropriate recepticals. You'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you have saves the items from the landfill and the church youth will receive funds. Here's what you can bring:
- Printer Cartridges & Toner Cartidges - spent cartridges can be recycled. Currently the program does not accept cartridges that have been preveously refurbished, ink tanks, or printer ribbons. A box for cartridges is located in the narthex (entry area).
- Cell Phones - old cell phones. Currenlty the program does not accept cell phone accesories or chargers. A box for cell phones is located in the narthex (entry area).
- Small electronics - Laptops, handheld games, tablets, Mp3 players, GPS systems and other personal electronics. Bring the item to the church and depsit in the box located in the narthex (entry area).
MaxBack provides a way for you to receive money for your old electronics and the church to receive a commission. You can sell back your personal electronics, video games, cell phones and more. For every items received through the links on our website, the church youth receive a 10% commission. Here's how it works:
